The New Hampshire Red :
This breed was developed in the USA and was the ‘mother’ bird used to make the Hambar and is know as a dual purpose chicken used for eggs and meat.
They have red ear lobes and a single comb, lay a brown egg and are know generally as nice placid, utility chickens that are easy to pen due to their body weight
